Aug 02, Just about to take panhard off and re bush (not lifted at all). Some say that you just unbolt and then after re bush may need to lever slightly to get bolts back in on re fit. Others say that the chassis will move away from the axle and to get them to align for the bolts to go back in needs strops / levers and a lot of effort from more than one person. Aug 07, The bush inner sleeve has come loose and the end of the rod is now tapping/rubbing on the mounting bracket.

Remove both nuts/bolts and the rod will come away. The chassis will move slightly to the drivers side as you do this. Note the kink on the rod - this has to go at the diff end. A 21/22mm socket is the right size to use to press the old bush out. Remove the 2 bolts and nuts and the panhard rod. Replacement of Bushing Press out the bushings from the panhard rod. Fit new bushings into the panhard rod using red rubber grease.

Torque for the two nuts and bolts: 88 N.m. When tightening the panhard rod, set nut and bolt, lower the vehicle load until the panhard rod is horizontal. Aug 19, The only polybush on my 90 is in the panhard rod. As the quote up there says poly bushes (due to not being bonded to a metal shell) can not provide rotational stiffness, this is a plus point in a panhard rod bush especially in anything with decent articulation which tends to rip the bonded rubber bushes as they can not rotate.
