Treecycle Treecycle is a seasonal program offered by Denver Recycles that turns discarded Christmas trees into mulch after the holiday season. Free Treecycle mulch is made available to Denver residents at the Mulch Giveaway and Compost Sale in May. Please note, Treecycle is for Denver residents only.

Drop-Off Green Waste Residents can drop off the following items, where much of it will be recycled into mulch: Tree branches; Tree stumps; Leaves; Grass clippings; Please do not bring sod, dirt or gravel. Small amounts of these items can be put in your trash cart. Be careful not to exceed the weight limit of the cart.

If you put grass clippings. Avoid the dumps. At Select Materials we will accept all of your yard waste drop offs. Leaf & leaves, brush, green waste, branches, sticks, pallets, logs, trees, grubbings, and other natural wastes will all be accepted. The waste will then be recycled by composting it.
